Start With Yourself

The world feels loud now, waiting for someone, something to change. Headlines, arguments, everyone certain about what someone else needs to change. It is loud out there most days, if you let it be.

It’s easy to think the answer to that noise is more. More information, more expert advise, more waiting for something external to go first. The truth is that it all starts with you.

The change was never out there. It starts within.

Not as a metaphor or something abstract. As a practice. You start by noticing, actually noticing, one small moment at a time. From noticing comes a different choice. A choice, repeated long enough, becomes a habit. A habit is what actually changes a life, not one dramatic decision, a hundred small ordinary ones instead. And a life changed from within has a way of rippling outward, into our closest circles, our communities.

You do not need more to begin. Not another program, not another thing to buy, not the next person's fix for a problem you did not create. Know yourself first, underneath everything the world has told you to be. That is the real work, and it may be the only job that actually matters.

When you do that work, something simpler shows up on the other side. We are not meant to only survive this. We are meant to live it, fully, joy included. We are more connected to each other than the noise wants us to believe. We are just here to remember who we already are.

It is all a journey to center. You do not have to wait for permission to start it.

Start with yourself.

Take what you need. 🌿
